Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation (Try It Tuesday!)

Hiiii everyone,

This week for try it Tuesday I thought I would let you all know about a foundation that I have recently fallen in love with, the Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 hour foundation.

Some of my clients ask for my recommendations with regards to different products I use so I decided to pick up a few different affordable foundations and try them out as not everyone can afford a foundation for €40.

I picked up this foundation in Boots. They offer 3 for two on most of their products. I wanted to pick up a few bits so I thought that was good value. I LOVE a bargain, sale or discount of some sort. Yes I am one of those people that ends up buying stuff I don’t even need because it’s on sale.

Back to the foundation..

The shade I got is 201 classic beige.

Before applying the foundation, I first applied a primer from the flormar range. I applied the primer with my fingers on my brow bone, cheek bone and Cupid’s bow. Basically everywhere that I was planning on highlighting after applying my foundation. I got this Primer in Farrell chemist in Enniscorthy. You can find their Facebook page Here.

I let that set on my skin for a couple of minutes and then I applied my Rommel London foundation with a real techniques stippling brush.

When applying foundation I use to rub it onto my skin but lately I buff it into the skin or tap it into the skin I think that I am getting better coverage by doing this. Just a little tip that might help some of you! 😉

I then applied the Rimmel London stay Matt powder over my foundation to help it set and to reduce any risk of shine. I like a dewy finish but I don’t want to look like I am sweating either!!

Overall, I really like this foundation. I applied it at 10am in the morning and it was still perfect when I finished work at 10pm in the evening.

My face didn’t get anyway shiney and a number of people commented on both the shade and coverage of the foundation.

I can’t remember the exact price of the foundation but I think it was around the €11 mark. Remember when I bought this I also got another Rimmel product half price.

I have worn this foundation four times now and I would definitely recommend it. Each time it has been for the entire day and the foundation didn’t budge or get shiney which I was very happy with.

Hope this helps,

Joanne x
