Fashion, Theatre and Media Make up

Hiii everyone,

So this week I started back in Gainforts Academy and this time I am studying Fashion, theatre and media makeup which is better known as Makeup Artistry.

I am really excited to get stuck into this course as it covers so many areas of make up and the course itself seems really fun.

I will be attending every Monday and each week we will have a different theme to do so I thought it would be a good idea to bring you all along with me each week and let you all know how I am getting on.

So to kick start everything off here is a sneak peak at what I got in my kit.

This is only one of the kits that we get butbat the moment this is the only kit we need to get us going. I am actually impressed with this kit as it has some good brands in it. Last year when I studied level 2 make up the kit we got wasn’t great.

My makeup bible for the next year!

As part of our course work we have to complete a portfolio full of different looks we have created throughout the year. Here are some of the things I picked up for mine..

I got the above bits and bobs from Mr Price.

How we create our portfolio and what we spend on it is completely up to us, there is no pressure to go to great expense.

I decided for my portfolio I wanted to get an art folder to keep everything safe, tidy and together. I ordered mine from eBay and it was €20 delivered to my front door.

The plastic inserts are separate but I ordered them on eBay too. They are deer in my opinion, I got five for €11.

So that’s it so far, next weeks theme is black and white photography so this week we have to research images and get ideas for the type of look we want to create.

Stay tuned to see how I got on!
